Established in 2012 Elgin Knit Works is located in a historic building in the heart of downtown Elgin. EKW is ever changing, bringing in new yarns and fibers regularly. Our focus on supporting independent artists is reflected in the selections of yarn bowls, project bags, stitch markers and shawl pins.
Betsy and Linda, the owners, are both retired teachers and have a passion for passing on their skills in the hobby. While EKW has a traditional class schedule that changes every month, they have also developed a curriculum of skill building classes, offered on a semi-private basis, and scheduled on your time.
